Domestic Natural Gas Courses
Candidate must hold the following Core qualifications: CCN1/CCLP1 + CPA1 or;
CCN1/CCLP1 as from 1st April 2012 or;
A valid equivalent NVQ or QCF qualification plus appropriate domestic appliance(s)
This course is designed to assess the candidate on the following areas of work:
Carrying out ambient CO/CO2 tests and combustion performance analysis using electronic portable gas analysers on domestic gas appliances in dwellings following:
Indication of fumes; Smells; Spillage or leakage of combustion products; CO detector activation and Interpretation of results and responses from householder or other party.

The Managed Learning Programme (MLP) for gas is a structured pathway designed for new entrants to the gas industry. It combines classroom-based theory, hands-on practical training, and onsite experience with a Gas Safe Engineer. The MLP is essential for candidates to progress toward ACS assessments and become Gas Safe registered engineers. The program includes formative and summative assessments, as well as a Training Completion Certificate upon successful completion.
